To create a packaging design that would house, protect and present their jewelry.
I wanted to bring out the look and feel of the brand so I used black as the main color. The client wanted a cost effective, simple, easy to make yet unique box that had the look and feel of his brand. To meet these requirements, I designed a pattern at the bottom of the box inspired by his designs. I also etched his website’s address on the sides of the box.
This box is cost effective as it is only made in plastic and can be put together under 1 min(no glue flaps needed). I added an embossed logo on a black sticker to seal the box. I used a printmaking technique to make the copper emboss plate and manually embossed the sticker. Illustration and flat-pick prepared in Illustrator, cutting and etching were done by a laser cutter machine.
To redo a boutique hotel’s toiletries. (Werribee Mansion).
I choose the name Provenance because it means “origin”.
(Provenance->origin->history->plants->natural) I wanted to bring the natural feeling of Werribee Mansion into the rooms with the toiletries as the room and toilet consisted of mostly black, white, dark brown with an occasional small green wall. I wanted to do something that would immediately be associated with a natural and luxurious feel.
I used glass, wood, paper and fake grass to bring in the idea of natural luxury. Using a handwritten font for the brand with a simple flower bud illustration helped to give it an even more natural feel. I used dry transfer to have gold words to make it feel more luxurious. Illustrated using Illustrator.
To create packaging for a premium Belgium beer.
I chose the name Beliebig because in German in means as many as you want, and it easy to read as well, “Be-lie-big”. As it is a premium beer, I added little golden triangles on the brand. I wanted to differentiate it from Hoegarden, Leffe and Duvel, and used an angular typeface for the brand name and san serifs for the body text.
As it is a premium beer, I added little touches of gold and emboss on the logo.
Illustrated and layout and flat-pick were done on Illustrator.
